Hi Eleanor:
Just a note to tell you that Skylar is having a blast with his new playmate.
Lucy had her first vet appointment this week, and Skylar went, too. On
the way back (it's about a half hour drive), they rode in the same carrier. Lucy
was sooo happy, while Skylar lay down, she sat proudly at his hip, never letting
herself lie down. She actually fell asleep sitting up, leaning on him! It was
really precious.
This morning, while I was still in bed, they played tag - one on one side of my body,
and one on the other. They ran in opposite directions, under the bed, and came out at
my body again. They were having a blast! So I thank you, again, for such lovely companions.
Lucy is a sweetie, and so very cute in her behaviors. She is happy as a lark and
struts around proudly...not quite as much a strut as King Tut, but she may catch
on!
Take care!

The joys of adopting an older, retired cat:
Hi Eleanor:
Just wanted to let you know how Duke is doing. I have to say he's the perfect cat for us!
I cannot get over how loving this guy is. Every time I walk in the room, he comes over,
purrs, and rubs my legs. He's venturing around the house a lot more now. He mostly stayed
in my bedroom up until about last week. He doesn't like any commotion (I can't blame him)
of a night owl. He sleeps until late afternoon and then spends the evening and night with
us. He seems to be very well adjusted to his new home.
Callie is still being a bit of a snob, but Duke really doesn't seem to care at all. He
just ignores her. I'm sure, eventually, she'll get tired of following him around whining
and just live peacefully with him.
Hope everything is well with you and your new home.
Talk to you later,
Kenna |

Hi Eleanor:
Just an update on Buddy... He is wonderful. We absolutely love him!!! He slept with Eric last
night and has been purring ever since. I picked him up yesterday, and he has been following
me everywhere. He is exactly what I was looking for in a cat. Thanks for knowing which one
to give me.
Hope all is well at your house, and give all your kitties hugs from me. If I had my way, I
would have more! When you have a chance, please keep me updated about new litters. Before
the little calico tabby is spoken for, please check in with me, as I may have to have that
one, too!
Thanks again - and as soon as I take some pictures and figure out how to send them, I will!
Cindy
P.S. Everything went well yesterday in London with Eric. As a mom, I really feel that the
results will be positive. Eric fell in love with Buddy as soon as he saw him!!! |

Hello Eleanor:
Ruby joined our family almost 3 weeks ago, and I wanted to let you know what a delight she
has been. The transition into a home with 2 small children, a dog, a bird and an aquarium
full of fish has occured very smoothly due in part to her being a well socialized kitten.
She has a wonderful, playful personality that entertains all of us. We have grown to love
her very much.
It was a pleasure going through the adoption process with you. You answered all of my
questions thoughtfully, and provided plenty of additional information about your cats and
the breed in general. If we ever find that there is more space in our home for another
kitten, we will definitely be in touch.
Kind regards,
Kelly J |

Dear Eleanor:
I know it has only been five days, but Jackson is the loveliest kitten I have ever had.
It took under half an hour for him to start to playing and sitting with us - one the day
we picked him up!
Jackson is filling a huge hole in our hearts. We had a 17 year old beloved cat and he died
after we got Jackson. So Jackson is doing such a wonderful job filling that hole already.
My husband even lets him sleep with us! Wonder of wonders, as he has never allowed any of
our cats sleep with us. He is just co cute!
Jackson is sitting on my lap right now. He never leaves my side until Tony comes home.
Then Jackson goes back and forth between us. He is an angel.
Thank you, Eleanor. Please give Blackie a big pat for us!
Tony and Sue H - and, of course, Jackson, too! |
|
Dear Eleanor:
It's impossible to say what a joy Jackson is to us. Having lost both of our beloved cats
within one month, Jackson has really helped fill the sad spot. He can make us laugh every
day. He is very, very smart.
As you can see by the attached picture, Jackson is almost saying, "It is so easy for me to
get my parents to pet me! I am King Of The Animal Kingdom in this house!" |
 |
He has slept with us every night, and is really cuddly. The other night, both Jackson and
Tony were snoring! I had to get both of them to flip over. He always greets us at the door
when we come in. He's like a little dog!
His fur is really turning blue quickly now. Everyone that meets him always says,
"Awwww..." It's so funny!
Well, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Tony and Sue H
PS Jackson says hi! |

Hi Eleanor:
I just wanted to tell you how much we love our new kitty. He is so sociable, and has quickly
made himself quite at home in our house, and in our hearts. What a goofball! He keeps me
constantly laughing. He reminds me of a wriggly toddler who just cannot stay still for a
second, wants to be picked up, is never far, and is very very affectionate. He loves
everybody! He wakes up purring. He runs around purring. He eats purring.
Our old Casper is feeling a little displaced, and has become a little listless. But he was
never a dominant cat, so I am sure that he is thinking his new found reign at the top (after
we lost his partner in October) was short lived. They are getting along, though, but are not
yet best buddies.
I haven't decided on a name yet.
Thanks again!

Hi Eleanor:
It's Eleanor from Toronto, writing to you. I wanted to share with you a picture of the
beauteous Bettina - one of Bella's daughters - at one year old today. She is a joy and a
treasure. Thank you for bringing us together.
Best regards,
Eleanor |

Hi Eleanor:
Mr. Jeeves has gotten bigger and is such a bundle of energy, and a sweetie, all at the same
time! He doesn't stop... maybe for a moment to cuddle on the couch with one of us, for about
an hour. Then he is off playing with his toys, terrorizing Sagwa, etc.
He actually stopped and watched TV the other day. I almost thought he was going to jump at
the screen. The Discovery channel was on and a flock of birds were flying around. He
thought that was interesting. It was quite funny, as none of our cats have ever taken an
interest in the TV, or what was on. But his little head kept following them back and
forth!
We understand about all the kittens. I can just imagine your hands being full with all those
kittens, now probably moving about!

Dear Eleanor:
Here is a picture of my baby, Charmin, who is very beautiful. I love him! British Shorthairs
are my preferred cat because their fur is like rabbit's fur.
Thank you very much for giving me the most beautiful cat in the world!
Have a good day,

Dear Eleanor,
We are absolutely in love with our kitten! She is the prettiest little doll anyone has ever
seen. She and our daughter are getting along famously. Dolly has certainly been raised with
care by you, and we plan to treat her like gold.
Thank you so much! Our family is now complete.

Dear Eleanor:
Charlie's doing great - thanks for inquiring. He's the most playful, friendly and adorable
kitten we've ever had! You raise AWESOME kitties, Eleanor. We'll send you some updated pics
as soon as we take some new ones.
Take care, and thanks for the vaccine info!

Dear Eleanor:
I wanted to let you know that Lord Bentley Wigglepants of Vineland is doing wonderfully. I
love this cat so much! He is the most socialized and good natured cat I have ever met. And
what a character! He is constantly keeping us entertained. He loves everybody, and as far as
he is concerned, the more the merrier. He has made a convert of several self-professed cat
haters.
After bringing Bentley home, our older cat was shy, and wary of the situation. But Bentley
insisted that they were going to be friends. When I put out their food, Bentley comes
running, and then goes to fetch Casper so that they can "dine" together. Now they sleep
together, groom each other, and have several boisterous wrestling matches a day. I know that
Casper has greatly benefited from having this sweet cat around. (I sure have.)
Thanks for giving him such a good start, and for making it possible for us to have adopted
him.
Sincerely,
Lorna |

Hi Eleanor:
I just wanted to thank you for our wonderful kitten, Mosley. In three weeks, he has already
gained 1lb. 2oz.
He gets along great with our other cat, Tyson, who is 4 years old. Actually, Mosley is the
boss... he is not afraid of anything. He came into our home and took over, even our hearts.
He is amazing and a real treat!
I have never had a kitten with such a wonderful personally. He has all
of us laughing, he is so funny! We can not keep him out of the sinks or bathtubs. He loves
to go into them and chase his tail. And, if he's not chasing his tail, he's hiding, waiting
for his chance to jump onto Tyson - and then run away before Tyson knows what has hit him!
If all your kittens are like Mosley, everyone will get the best kitten ever! I am so very
glad we found you.
Take care,
Rosemary, Bob and Nicole
PS - We will send pictures soon!

Eleanor:
Just wanted to let you know that our new kitten is absolutely wonderful.
We have named her Opal, and she is an absolute delight. You were right -
she purrs all of the time, and has a great personality. We have had no
issues with the litter box, and she's a great eater.
Opal seems to fit right in with our family, she even plays hockey with
the boys. I will send you a picture when I get a chance.
My daughter, Ciara, wanted me to thank you again for the ribbon. She was
very happy to have it. And thanks for answering their many questions.
Good luck at your next cat show! And thanks again.

Hi Eleanor!
I just wanted to let you know how our Simon is doing. We picked him up last October 2007.
Simon has become a very handsome boy. He is what a British Shorthair should be. He just
wants to be wherever you are. Everyone who sees him thinks he is a teddy bear! We love him
to bits! He is intelligent, playful, funny and has loads of energy. Simon also makes an
excellent alarm clock. Even on the weekends. He is a huge part of our lives and I can't
imagine life without him.
Thank for breeding such beautiful and wonderful cats. I waited seven months for Simon and
it was worth the wait.
I have included a few picutures of Simon: From the first day we got him to, literally, last
weekend.
Thanks again!
Regards,
Kim and Jamie E |

Hi Eleanor,
We just wanted to update you on Sapphire. We picked her up January 2008. She is absolutely
adorable. She is everything we thought she would be. She is extremely energetic and playful.
She’s a purring powerhouse. She is always purring and loves to be petted/rubbed.
We wanted to thank you for such an amazing kitten!!!
We just brought her back from the vet for her second shots and check-up. She is just under
6 lbs and everything is well. The vets and nurses just adored her.
Thanks again,
Roland and Tracy M |

Eleanor:
Maui has definitely settled in! It's like he has always been here! He is still very shy with
sounds and the dog, but he does not hiss anymore, and is trying to get closer to Turbo each
day.
He is an amazing kitty in many ways. He likes to sleep in our desk drawer (he climbs in the
back and sleeps soundly for hours). He plays by himself a lot! He will play with us too, but
he can certainly entertain himself with ease while we cook dinner and eat. He sleeps with
Perry and I in our bed and likes his belly rubbed. He does not like his head petted too much,
but really likes that belly. He is growing like a weed, too. A very good boy! We are very
pleased and we will be sending you pictures soon.
Thank you for such a great gift. We love him to pieces.

Hello Eleanor:
We finally got Beauregard into the Vet for a check up before his booster shot on the 23rd.
Of course, no surprise to you, he is very healthy and strong, and weighs 3 lbs. All the
staff at the Vet's made a big deal out of him. They thought he was so majestic they have
renamed him Sir Beauregard. The Vet said we couldn't have picked a nicer cat.
He is a delight and the gentlest kitten I have ever had. Our dog has found a new friend, and
the two of them play and sleep side-by-side.
Hope you're getting some rest now that the nursery is empty!

Hi Eleanor,
Lolli is a real joy in my life and, yes, she is adorable. Her new thing now is getting her
fur brushed, after I dry my hair in the morning. She follows me everywhere in the apartment.
She sits or lays by the bathroom sink while I'm washing my face, brushing my teeth, and
drying my hair. After I shut the blow dryer off, she will sit up and look at me with those
big round copper eyes, letting me know its her turn. So I brush her hair. She is so smart!
Oh, yes, and I've never heard a meow like the one that comes out of her mouth. At first, I
though she was mute. She would just open her mouth, but no sound. Then I realize it was the
faintest sound you can imagine. As my sister said, "It's very lady like." She sometimes
chirps, too!
Eleanor, I'm so glad I've adoptive Lollipop from you. As some people would ask, "Why adopt a
kitten from Canada?" I say, "Why not? Look what I got: A REAL GEM!"

Hi Eleanor,
I just have to tell you that Georgey is the cutest and best cat I could have hoped for.
He follows me around the house, loves to play fetch, and is so friendly to everyone. He
loves to be manhandled and is growing so quickly!!! Thanks so much.
He's only 6 months old now, but he's so big!
Sincerely,
Chantal |

Hi Eleanor:
Merry Christmas! I hope all is well with you.
I wanted to let you know how our two boys, Cobalt and Jett are doing. They have grown so much
since they joined our family. Cobalt is the big boy, weighing 11 lbs. He is the curious one,
and loves to cuddle and purr in bed every night. Jett is our little guy, weighing 10 lbs. He
loves to eat. Luckily, he is active, so he does not put on the pounds. It is a blast to
watch them chase each other around the house. It's amazing, how fast they are. They have
their usual routines, between nap time and play time.
Tom and I hate to leave them alone. When we are away from them, we always can't wait to get
home to "our boys". They are so much fun to have around, and so quiet, they rarely meow. I've
never had cats that were so quiet. They are part of our family. Thanks for bringing them
into our lives.
I hope you have a great New Year!
Sherry, Tom, Cobalt and Jett |

Hi Eleanor,
Norton just turned one year old yesterday, and I thought I would send you a few pictures.
The time has gone incredibly fast; what, with a wedding and a birth and all things life, I
guess that is the natural progression.
Norton has been just such a great addition to our life, and now I can't even imagine it
without him in it. He's everything we could imagine and more. Here are a few pictures of him
hanging around the house.
Hope that all is well with you. From the looks of your great "Blog", it seems that is the
case.
All the best!

Hi Eleanor,
Georgie has had a great first year! We just love him to pieces and he's so much fun!
Here he is sleeping on his favorite step last week, and here is another favorite place for
him to pass out.

Eleanor,
He is an absolute delight, with his own little attitude, which we love. He
loves company and always greets us at the door.
Of course, he is spoiled
rotten, which all babies should be. He now has his own bedroom with a futon
bed, two cat trees, and lots of toys. We did it in a jungle theme.
He also has full run of the house and is the boss.
Best regards,
Delores P |

Hi Eleanor:
Our beautiful Sir George has been a joy since the day we met him. He is a wonderful
companion, and is very obedient and loving. He is so soft and polite, and he loves people.
Georgie loves to play, especially fetch with a piece of rolled up paper. He is so quiet and
barely makes a meow...
We are totally and utterly in love with him, and hug him to pieces
whenever we can. His personality is delightful and he makes us laugh daily with his antics!
We are now looking to get a little british short hair brother for him so he has someone to
play with when we aren't there with him.
Thanks so much, Eleanor!

Hi Eleanor:
I have just gone through your wonderful letter from all your new owners, and now it is
time to put forth my feelings and experiences I have had with you: You are the BEST!
First of all, I could not have worked with anybody better than you, so give yourself a "pat"
for that. Creamo (my lilac point) and Poppie (blue and white) are so incredibly British
proper, cute, adorable, smart, affectionate, get into everything, and most importantly,
owning four Brits at once has completed my life. My family is now complete.
I know you know the absolute love I have for these darlings. They are better therapy than
any human I have ever encountered. Creamo is the Queen of England, sitting very regal on my
coffee table around my Swarovski crystal pieces, and does not touch one! She lays beside
them and with her cream coat, just fits in like... well... a Queen. She purrs all the time
and loves to lay out flat on the bed with me, as long as her little sister Poppie isn't
around.
My new Poppie (blue and white), well....what can I say? Everybody has literally fallen in
love with this little gal. Talk about charming, her gazing at you, and her meow is
pathetically hilarious! You would think she has lost her best friend in the world. She shows
off, bothers the big blue boys, and they wash her - as does big sister Creamo! She loves it.
She also tries to start wrestling with the boys. She is one brave little creature, loves to
sneak up on Creamo when she is sound asleep, jumps right on her, and then the chase is on!
Then the boys get involved, I have four Brits racing through the house, and it sounds like a
stagecoach roaring into town. I am so in love with my "kids".
In the A.M., they all line up for breakfast in my bedroom, race down the stairs, and then
they get on their perches, and look out at the beautiful trees and birds which I feed.
Then they have their nap, and by noon, ready to race again. They settle down at night with
me and, oh... Creamo and Poppie LOVE to watch T.V. They trace their paws with the movement
of it.
But anyway, dear, thank you from my heart. I wish I could have 20 of them, but my dreams
have come true: I have the kids!
Thank you so much,
Kathy |

Hi Eleanor:
ToTo and Basu are doing great, eat a lot, play a lot, sleep a lot, having lots of fun
running around, they are just so cute. Thank you so much for picking 2 perfect kittens
for me. Enclosed is a photo I took, so you can see how well they are doing
:D Will update you later of their progress.
Thanks again for the 2 new family member and they will be loved and spoiled in this
family =^_^=

Hello:
I just wanted to provided you with some photos of Ryu and his favorite place to have his nap. Wolfe and Olympia had a wonderful litter and Ryu is an an awesome example. He loves shoe laces and the plastic that you take off frozen juice containers. He definitely rules the house and our dog plays by his rules.
I can't say enough about the your British Shorthairs and I'm excited to be getting another one.
All the best!

Hi Eleanor:
We just wanted to say hi and give you an update on Titan. We love him so much, he is so playful and fun. He loves to wake us up in the morning when he wants to play. He's always on the go, playing with his toys and checking everything out. He loves his cat tree; when he's hyper he scales the poles, and when he's tired, he will curl up on the top. He's very independent but will cuddle up with us when he's tired. He's met his brother Cupid three times now, it's so funny to watch how they interact with each other!
Hope all is well,
Courtney, Robbie and Titan H |

Hi Eleanor:
I wanted to let you know how Emma was getting on since I picked her up last October. From the start, Emma has been a joy and delight. Even when meeting her half brother, Simon, she exuded a quiet confidence that won him over. They are now always seen together, and are usually into some form of trouble or another. I can always count on them to greet me at the door when I come home at the end of the day.
Emma is a bundle of energy, and playfulness, and her curiousity abounds. She loves her food (she now weighs a healthy nine pounds!), her toys, and running through the house like a horse. But I love her chirping noises she makes when she comes to say "hello", and especially her sweet face. I cannot say enough good things about her... she is a wonderful cat and I couldn't be happier.
Take Care,
Kim and Jamie E, Simon and Emma

Hi Eleanor!
I hope you're well. I just wanted to let you know how our beautiful kitten, Bella, is doing. She has quickly become a treasured member of our home! The kids can't get enough of her. She is so gentle with them. When we get home at the end of the day, Bella greets us at the door and immediately starts to follow us around wherever we go.
I can't believe how easy she is to train. My daughter says that she is the cat who thinks she's a dog. For example, if we show Bella her brush, she lies down on the floor to let us groom her. Once we're finished, she follows us to the pantry to get her treat. She knows exactly what she's doing. It's so cute. |
 |
Once the children go to bed, Bella finds a spot beside me on the couch, and we relax together.
Thanks for picking out the perfect kitten for our family. I showed her off to some of my friends, and they were all quick to tell me that she is the cutest looking kitten they have ever seen. Even people who warned they don't love cats admitted that she is adorable. Who can resist her face? Others who have had the pleasure of petting her, can't get over her amazingly soft fur. She is perfect in every way. I'm sending you a photo that I've recently taken of her.
Thanks again,
Elli |

Hi Eleanor:
I just wanted to write and tell you how thrilled we are with our new
blue boy, Teddy. He has far exceeded our expectations, and we love him
with all our heart. He already seems like he knows everything in the
house, and it has only been 3 days. He is unlike any other kitten we
have ever seen, and has the manners of a true gentleman.
Thanks for being there to answer all of my questions throughout this whole process.
Eleanor, I know I had many questions, and you were always willing to
answer.
We will be coming to you in the next year or so to get our next
little addition, since we know you have the best kittens there is.
Sean and Miranda L.

Hi Eleanor!
I’m so very happy I made the decision to get Tugger. She’s everything I hoped for and more. I’ve taken many, many pictures of her and shared them with my friends and family, who all think she’s is adorable. Many have commented that she looks like a little stuffed toy. She’s very friendly, loves to be touched, and follows me from room to room and makes it her playground while there. We are so right for each other.
I’m glad I met you at the cat show and that my darling Tugger was available. Thanks again Eleanor. Who knows – you may see me again for a playmate for Tugger!
