Welcome to Hi Crown Cattery,
breeders of Canadian and US Champion Registered British Shorthair cats, located in Hamilton,
Ontario, Canada!
All of our British Shorthair kittens
are born and raised in a dedicated kitten room for the first 8-9 weeks. They are then
introduced to the rest of the house and the other cats, making them completely home reared.
Because our kittens receive lots of attention, and are raised in a loving, nuturing
environment, they are well socialized and playful. |

Prior to being sent to their new
homes and families at 12-13 weeks, our kittens pay a visit to our veterinarian, where they
are examined, spayed or neuter, given immunizations, and wormed. |

Hi Crown's British Shorthairs come
from Grand Champion lines only, to ensure that our kittens are robust and healthy!
Because matings are carefully
planned, Hi Crown Cattery has various British Shorthair litters and colors through out the
year. However, if you desire a specific color or sex, a reservation is highly recommended.

The
British Shorthair, probably the oldest English breed of cat, traces its ancestry back to
the domestic cat of Rome. This breed was first prized for its physical strength and hunting
ability, but soon became equally recognized and valued for its calm demeanor, endurance and
loyalty.
Known for its "Cheshire Cat smile",
the British Shorthair has a short plush coat with a luxurious feel, making it very easy to
groom. It is a handsome cat with a broad, round face and a muscular body. Due to its
easy-going nature and intelligence, the Brit has become a favorite of animal trainers for
use in films and television commercials. |

A
British Shorthair is always in quiet control of its environment, supervising everyone and
everything that happens in the family. They are very affectionate and steadfast companions,
and make an ideal pet for less active owners, as well as for busy households.
The
British Shorthair is best known for its deep dazzling blue color, but are available in
almost all cat colors and patterns – tabbies and calicos, bicolor, tortes and solids.
